Obituary

Terri Jenna' Holtsclaw, age 56, of Dixon, was born August 31, 1965, at Rolla, the daughter of Jimmie Wayne and Karin Helene (Palanzo) Prewett, and passed from this life Saturday, January 1, 2022, in Phelps Health, Rolla.

She was united in marriage December 25, 1989, at Dixon, to Brian Lee Holtsclaw, and to this union, two children were born.

Terri made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized early in life.  At the time of her passing, she was attending Santee Community Church near Dixon.  During her working life, she was owner and operator of Pride and Joy Child Development Center, Dixon, and was currently the Human Resources Director for Mi-Serenity, Rolla, until failing health.  Terri loved her family, her grandchildren, all kids in general and especially enjoyed entertaining, decorating, and cooking.

Those left to mourn the passing of Terri include:  Her husband, Brian Holtsclaw, of their home near Dixon; her father, Jim Prewett, of Dixon; her children, Carrisa Smith and husband, Mike, of Dixon, and Jimmie Holtsclaw of Dixon; her three grandchildren, twins, Kaiden and Karin Smith, and Charlotte Smith; her brother, Jerry Prewett and wife, Barbie, of St. James; one nephew, Charleton Prewett, of St. James, mother-in-law, Phyllis Holtsclaw, of Dixon; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brent Holtsclaw and wife, Jerica, of Dixon; one niece, Maci Holtsclaw, of Dixon; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Karin (10-29-2007); her paternal grandparents, Woodrow and Margaret Prewett; her maternal grandparents, Roy and Centa Palanzo; and her father-in-law, Gary L. Holtsclaw (3-9-2002).

Visitation for Mrs. Terri Holtsclaw will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 6, 2022, in Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, 105 East Third Street, Dixon, MO 65459, with her service following in the chapel with Pastor Shannon Perry, Santee Community Church, officiating.

Interment for Mrs. Holtsclaw will be in Pisgah Cemetery, near Dixon, under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon.

Memorials are Youth Group of Santee Community Church with envelopes at the funeral home day of service or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box EE, Dixon, MO 65459.
