Thalia Chorlotte Brouk, of Dixon, was born on February 17, 1960, in Waynesville, Missouri. A daughter of J.C. and Martha Geneva (Jones) Blanton. Departed this life on Saturday, June 17, 2023, in SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis. She had attained the age of 63, years, 3 months, and 30 days.
Thalia was united in marriage on February 3, 1992, in Daytona Beach, Florida, during bike week, to Christopher Rae Brouk, and to this union, one daughter was born.
Thalia accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and followed Him in baptism early in life. She was a 1979 graduate of Dixon R-1 High School, and later attended Central College of Cosmetology, Waynesville. During her working life she had been employed as a nurse's aide at Rolla Manor and Maries Manor; and was both a Med Tech and Pharmacy Tech for Dr. Bennie Thomas. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, working in the yard in her flower beds, writing poems, going to the river swimming, spending time with her daughter and family, and time with her dog "Sprocket" and her grand-dog "Evo".
Those left to mourn the passing of Thalia include: her husband, Chris Brouk, of the home Dixon; her daughter, Harley Brouk and partner, Christopher Thompson, Dixon; one brother, Gerald Blanton, Dixon; nephews; nieces; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, J.C. on February 1, 1992; her mother, Martha Geneva on February 15, 2008; step-son, Kyle Brouk on February 5, 1998; step-daughter, Adrian Brouk on February 5, 1998; three sisters, Tennie Armilda Sinden on December 30, 1994; Grace Caroline Hicks on February 5, 2012; and Lillian Devon Null on June 12, 2013; and three nephews, Nash Maddox on June 30, 2020, Austin Veasman Null on April 13, 2022, and Richard "Butch" Sinden on March 9, 2013.
Thalia's family and friends will have a celebration of life to be announced. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Brouk, Gerald Blanton, Chris Thompson, Donnie Fritchey, Nelson Conner, Dylan Blanton, Gary Sinden, Johnny Maddox, David Hicks, and Brandon Veasman.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Thalia Brouk are suggested per the wishes of her family with envelopes available at the funeral home or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box EE, Dixon, Missouri 65459.
