Timothy Ralph "Tim" Parker, of Dixon, was born on June 29, 1966, at Rolla, a son of Jerry Lee and Carolyn Sue (George) Parker, and departed this life on Thursday morning, July 7, 2016, in the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. Tim had attained the age of 50 years and 8 days.

Tim was united in marriage on July 8, 2000, at Dixon, to Lisa Ann Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry on September 7, 2000; his mother, Carolyn on June 13, 2001; and one brother, Kevin Drew Parker on June 27, 1987.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dixon, was in the Army National Guard, and had been employed at Quaker Window Products, Freeburg, as a foreman until his health no longer permitted. Tim was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed working outside in the yard and gardening. He had a passion for music and was the lead singer in the band Against the Grain.

Those left to mourn the passing of Tim include: His wife, Lisa Parker, Dixon; one son, Nathaniel Lee "Nate" Parker, Dixon; one daughter, Abigail Sue "Abby" Parker, Dixon; three brothers, Mark Parker (Leasa), Dixon; Robert Cory Parker, Camdenton; and Adam Allen Parker, Puxico; two sisters, Angela Middleton (Darren), Dixon; and Lindsey Parker, Dixon; his mother-in-law, Caroline Bowlin, Dixon; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Abby and Nate Parker college fund with envelopes available at the Dixon Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home.
