Troy Lee Holterman, of Freeburg, was born on September 17, 1972, at Jefferson City, a son of Henry Mike and Rosemary (Rotter) Holterman and departed this life at 5:31 p.m., Sunday, April 12, 2015, in the Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City. Troy had attained the age of 42 years, 6 months, and 25 days.
Troy was united in marriage on June 22, 1996, at Rich Fountain, to Kimberly Lynn Scheulen, and to this union, two sons were born. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Mike, on October 5, 2000 and his mother, Rosemary, on February 27, 2011.
Troy was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, and the Freeburg Fire Department. He was a mechanic for Beck Motors as well as being a farmer in Osage county. Troy enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting wood, hunting mushrooms and spending time with his family and friends.
Those left to mourn the passing of Troy include: his wife, Kim Holterman, of the home in Freeburg; two sons, Kaleb Holterman and Kaden Holterman, both of the home in Freeburg; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, JoAnn and Kenny Boessen, Loose Creek; his father-in-law, Gary Scheulen, Freeburg; three brothers, Bruce Holterman, Rick Hertzing and Terry Hertzing; nine sisters, Mary Conners, Virginia Sweet, Debbie White, Gloria Sweet, Lisa Wieberg, Tammy Crane, Kim Holterman, Tina Holterman and Stacy Holterman; two sisters-in-law Kris Scheulen and Karrie Scheulen; numerous nephews and nieces; and many other relatives and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Troy at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 17, 2015, in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg with the Rev. Nicholas J. Reid officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery, Freeburg, under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.

Pallbearers for Troy were Andy Iven, Randy Iven, George Iven, Keith Beck, Bradley Wieberg and Travis Holterman. Honorary pallbearers were Danny Redel, Dusty Sweet, Ethan Holterman, Aron Wieberg, Danny Hertzing and Richard Wieder.
Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the education fund for Kaleb and Kaden with envelopes available at the Vienna Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
