Wanda Evelena Hutson, of Vienna, was born on November 19, 1947, at Vienna, a daughter of John Henry and Gladys Elnora (Picker) Honse, and departed this life at 12:05 p.m., on Sunday, November 1, 2020, in the Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City. She had attained the age of 72 years, 11 months, and 12 days.
Wanda was united in marriage on July 15, 1966, in First Baptist Church, Vienna, to Billy Alvin Hutson, and to this union, three children were born.
She had accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, and had followed her Lord in baptism while attending the First Baptist Church, Vienna, where she was still a member, and a long time choir member, at the time of her passing. Wanda was a 1965 graduate of the Maries R-1 High School, Vienna, and following high school, she studied at Lincoln University, Jefferson City, to become a Licensed Practical Nurse receiving her certification in 1967. During her working life, Wanda was a nurse in Dr. Howard's office and the nurse for the Maries County Health Department, both in Vienna. She was later employed by the American General Insurance Company and Scholastic, Inc., both in Jefferson City, and then for some time at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna. Wanda was a devoted housewife and homemaker as well for her husband and children.
Those left to mourn the passing of Wanda include: Her devoted husband of over fifty-four years, Billy Hutson, of the home near Vienna; her three children, Aaron Hutson and wife, Kim; Derek Hutson and special friend, Karen Dudenhoeffer; and Kami Breeding, all of Vienna; her six grandchildren, Molly Hutson, Annie Hutson, Whitney Hutson, Chloe Hutson, Madelyn Breeding, and Taylor Breeding; her one great-grandson, Daxton James Pierce; her four brothers and three sisters, Lloyd Honse, Vienna; Linda Honse, Vienna; Wilma Hauser (Rod), Lake Ozark; Wesley Honse (Jane), Vienna; Gary Honse (Debbie), Vienna; Marjorie Fowler, Jefferson City; and Roger Honse, Vienna; brother-in-law, Tilghman Feeler, Cuba; maternal uncle and aunt, Bud and Rita Picker, Jefferson City; nephews, nieces, with greats, and great-greats as well; cousins, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Makayla Lynn Hutson, at age two days, on Aug. 20, 1999; her father, Henry, on August 19, 1974; her mother, Gladys, on June 12, 1981; five sisters, Christina Lea "Christi" Honse on June 3, 1996, Helen Kay Adams on January 18, 2009, Louise Ann Feeler on July 2, 2015, Marilyn Yvonne Lewis on October 17, 2016, and Norma Marie Krenning on August 31, 2018; and two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Elmer Leroy Krenning on October 1, 2012, Carolyn Ann (Held) Honse on May 16, 2018, and Dennis Lee Lewis on October 1, 2020.
Visitation for Mrs. Wanda Hutson will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, November 5, 2020, in the First Baptist Church, 1004 US Highway 63, Vienna, Missouri 65582, with her funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. in the church with Pastor Chris Slocum officiating.
Interment will be in the Vienna Public Cemetery under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna. Pallbearers for Mrs. Hutson will be Layne Agan, Logan Agan, Kole Kleffner, Kody Kleffner, Kirk Spinner, Garrett Honse, and Bryse Rowden.
Immediately following the cemetery service, the Hutson family extends an invitation to all in attendance to share a meal with them in the Baptist Hall located on the lower level of the church.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Wanda Hutson are suggested per the wishes of her family with envelopes available at the church or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, Missouri 65582.
