William "Bill" Parron Chandler III, 75, of Dixon, Missouri, was born May 4, 1945, at Persia, Iowa, a son of William Parron and Mae Beatrice (Cogswell) Chandler, Sr. He departed this life Saturday, March 6, 2021, at his residence.
Bill was united in marriage to Nina Ann (Heck) Chandler, who preceded her husband in death on September 18, 2008. His parents and one brother, Clinton H. Chandler, also predeceased him.
In 1965, Bill enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served until he was honorably discharged in 1975, at the rank of Sergeant E-5. Bill served at various duty stations and was awarded and entitled to wear the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the MUC, the PUC, the NUC, the Vietnam MUC, and the Vietnam Civic Action (1 st Class). A man of excellent character, Bill's "Honorable Discharge" is a testimony of honest and faithful service to his country during the Vietnam War.
After his military discharge, Bill worked as a self-employed computer technician for the remainder of his working life, prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Three nieces, one nephew, other relatives, and dear friends survive Bill.
A graveside funeral service, with military honors, was held for Mr. William P. Chandler III in the Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania. He was laid to rest with his beloved wife and friend, Nina.
