William Robert Vaill, of Dixon, was born November 2, 1965, at Rolla, a son of Jerry Edward and Betty Jean (Bilyeu) Vaill, and departed this life on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at his residence near Dixon. He had attained the age of 52 years, 10 months, and 18 days.
Robert was a member of the Church of Christ, Dixon, and he especially enjoyed flower gardening, bee keeping, and his pet dogs, Gretta and Frank. Following his college education at the University of Kansas, he worked as the Regional Manager for Kinkos FedEx in the Kansas City area, where he had been employed for almost thirty years. Robert lived near his work during his working life and had moved back to his hometown of Dixon for his retirement.
Robert is survived by his mother, Betty Vaill, of Dixon; one brother, Jerry Edward Vaill, Jr. (Debbie), of Dixon; three sisters, Nancy Jean Gregory (Stan), Melinda Lee Alexander, and Valerie Ann Sinden (Steve), all of Dixon; nephews; nieces; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Edward Vaill, on November 24, 2016; and one brother-in-law, Junior Alexander, on April 8, 2013.
Graveside funeral services for William Robert Vaill will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 27, 2018, in the West Fairview Memorial Cemetery, near Dixon, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Dixon. Honorary pallbearers for Robert will be Thomas Edward Vaill (Angie), Trinity Jean Ponder (Doug), Calvin Edward Alexander, Joseph Lee Alexander, Stephen Levi Sinden (Tabitha), Dustin Benjamin Alexander (Kati), Jace Edward Vaill, Shelby LeeAnn Sinden, Dale Sears, Darryl Akery, and Chris Brimble.
Memorial contributions in memory of William Robert Vaill are suggested by his family to the West Fairview Memorial Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund with envelopes available at his graveside service or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box EE, Dixon, Missouri 65459.
