Wilma Pearl Sheldon Massey, of Dixon, was born on September 4, 1932, at Vessie in Phelps County, a daughter of George Lavern and Ellen Clara (Henson) Sheldon, and departed this life at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 12, 2014, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla. Mrs. Massey had been in failing health and had attained the age of 81 years, 10 months, and 8 days.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Massey include: four daughters, Norma and Elwood Ernst, St. James; Brenda and James McCracken, St. James; Judy Elms and Ron Foster, Dixon and Pamela Massey and Dustin Loyd, Dixon; three sons, Gary and Linda Hardesty Null, Dixon; Jack Null, Bolivar and C.J. and Kristie Simpson Massey, Dixon; three brothers, Lonnie and Pat Sheldon, Concord, North Carolina; Donald and Mary Sheldon, Jefferson City and Wendell "Butch" Null, Dixon; two sisters, June and Bill Rollins, Crocker and Linda Fenton, Dixon; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 16, 2014, in the First Assembly of God Church, Highway C West, Dixon, with Pastor Larry Albertson and Mr. Joshua Hawkins, officiating. Interment in the Seaton Cemetery near Dixon.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 15, 2014 and from 9 - 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014, all in the First Assembly of God Church, Highway C West, Dixon.
Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the Seaton Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
